K-Jay Electric Ltd. has been an Edmonton electrical contractor since 1973. This page explains what information kjayelectric.ca collects, why we collect it, and who it reaches. If anything here is unclear, call us at (780) 484-1721 and we will explain it plainly.
What we collect
Almost everything we hold about you is information you typed into one of our quote or application forms. Depending on which form you used, that can include:
- Your name, phone number, and email address.
- The service address for the work, and details about the job itself: panel size, vehicle, roof type, equipment you already own, and similar.
- Photos you choose to upload, such as your electrical panel, breaker, or the area where equipment would be installed.
- For solar quotes, a utility bill if you upload one, which shows your account number and electricity usage.
- For job applications, the work history and contact details you provide.
We also receive basic, aggregated traffic information about visits to the site, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from.
Why we collect it
To quote and perform the work you asked us about, and to contact you about it. Job details and photos let us size equipment and price the work accurately, often without needing a site visit first. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where it goes
When you submit a form, it is emailed to the K-Jay inbox for that trade (sales, service, or applications) so an estimator can pick it up. A small number of service providers handle the delivery and storage:
- Vercel hosts the website and stores uploaded photos and bills.
- Resend delivers the form submission to our inbox as an email.
- Google provides advertising measurement, described below.
These providers process data on servers located in the United States, which means your information may be stored or handled outside Canada and can be subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies and advertising
We advertise on Google. When you arrive from one of our ads, Google's tag sets a cookie so we can tell whether the ad led to a quote request or a phone call. We use this to judge whether our advertising is worth continuing. It tells us that a conversion happened, not who you are.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising at myadcenter.google.com. Blocking them does not affect your ability to request a quote or use the site.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and job records are kept as part of our normal business records, so we can service, warranty, and refer back to work we have done. Electrical work is long-lived and permits and inspections may need to be produced years later. If you would like your information removed and there is no job or legal obligation tied to it, contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email service@k-jay.ca or call (780) 484-1721. We will need enough information to confirm who you are before we release or change anything.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to how we use what you have already given us will be communicated directly rather than only posted here.
